Beth Mack

Grant Writer

A woman with blonde hair pulled back is lying in a dark woven hammock, holding a small child who is sitting on her lap. The child wears a small silver tiara and has a finger near their mouth. Both are looking towards the camera. The setting is outdoors, with lush green foliage and trees in the background, and dirt and sparse ground cover beneath the hammock. A pair of blue Crocs are visible on the ground.

Beth graduated from Guilford College in North Carolina with a BA in Sociology. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Georgia State, where the social work program specializes in macro level social work and community partnerships. Beth served for three and a half years in the Peace Corps in Panama, where she initiated projects from iguana nurseries and community gardens to a community library.

She met her husband in Panama, and they are now living in Decatur with their one year old daughter, Lina.  Beth’s skills include project management, grant writing, community assessment, and washing clothes in a river, and she communicates fluently in Spanish. Beth has worked as a Grant Writer with Cay Communications since 2018.
