Tools to Effectively Secure Funds
Thoughtful preparation before hitting the ground running in pursuit of funding is the key to success.
Many small or newer organizations jump into grant writing, special events and mailings without thoughtfully prepping for success. We review the readiness of your organization to be effective in raising money. Areas such as finance reporting, program structure and evaluation methods, sustainability, budget management and articulating past success and current needs are examples of grant writing prep 101.
We can create and expand templates for grants to outline the giving “menu” for donors—adapt request levels to specific needs within each program: create a menu of universal sponsorship needs, i.e. equipment, training scholarships, aiding a specific community, underwriting, etc. We can serve as the behind the scenes “ghost writers” to craft prepare grants for the development team for review, editing and approval to submit.
We create new materials or rejuvenate existing collateral required for grant proposals, applications for government funding, annual campaigns, events and the other opportunities to garner funding:
Grant best practices documents
Line item budgets for each program/project/discrete cost/funding area
Brochures / Posters / at-a-glance info cards
Honor roll of donors
Volunteer opportunities
Success stories
News clippings
Family endorsements
Donor “menus” for sponsorships
Set fees for services and/or sliding scale fees
Lists of inkind donations needed
Sponsorship packages delineating the 4:1 publicity/marketing recognition for each sponsoring dollar levels including all forms of public information dissemination
